Jesus was talking about the dietary restrictions which the Jewish religious leadership and the Jewish faithful adhered to. He was having a go at the leadership specifically for their hypocrisy and labelled them "blind guides" later in the following conversation with His disciples. While Jesus was talking about food and traditions, the same cannot be said for other things. There are some things which may make you unclean in some ways if they enter.
